Bridge

A dental bridge is designed to literally bridge the gap between one or more missing teeth. It is made up of 2 or more crowns joined together and cemented to the teeth adjacent to the space.

Benefits:

Restores the aesthetics of your smile.

Restores the functionality of your mouth by allowing you to eat and speak properly.

Maintains the shape of your face and prevents the cheeks from sinking in the areas where teeth are missing.

Replacing missing teeth helps to distribute biting forces more evenly.

Finally it prevents teeth from drifting out of position.

The downside of bridges is that the adjacent tooth/teeth will need to be prepared in the same way as for crown.
