Composite resin fillings.
This is tooth colored plastic and glass mixture used to restore teeth. It is also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color or shape of the teeth.
Dr. Kathrin uses imported composite resin material from Switzerland and its very much biologically neutral. It is completely free from any
Bis-GMA (bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate), HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and
TEGDMA (triethylene glycol dimethacrylate) as these substances are linked to possibly causing sensitivities or endocrine disruption.
Following preparation, Dr. Kathrin places the composite resin material in layers, and setting it with a curing light to harden each layer. It is then shaped, the closing bite is checked and adjusted if need be before being polished to prevent staining and early wear.
